A first step toward self discovery - Self Talk and Visualization. I want you to think about how you talk to yourself about your life in wrestling. How do you view, feel, respond, and behave to your own circumstances.
When you think of wrestling, what comes to your mind? Do you think or say to yourself, wrestling is so hard, I don't like practice, I don't like running, I like competing but not practicing, I don't want to lose, he is better than me, I am new, I am not that good, etc.
Or do you say, wrestling is great and I love wrestling, I love practice, I love working hard, I get better every day, I will figure out how to beat him next time, If I get taken down I know I can get out from bottom, if he shoots on me I will score, etc.
